We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our Resource/Child-Care team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing all services within their assigned portfolio. This position will optimize our services and ensure compliance with current legislation, Ministry guidelines, and child welfare policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leadership, particularly in Resource, Child-Care and child welfare services, and will excel at recognizing strengths and fostering a culture of trust, respect, fairness, consistency, diversity, and inclusiveness.
JOB REQUIREMENTS (QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS):
- An MSW or BSW is preferred.
- A College Diploma in Social Services may be considered along with other relevant university degrees or diplomas deemed suitable by the Executive Director. If a College Diploma is considered, the successful candidate must agree to obtain a relevant degree, by a recognized university, as a condition of employment.
- Thorough knowledge of the Child, Youth and Family Services Act (CYFSA) and Regulations, Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services Ontario Child Protection Standards and practical experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a high-paced environment with sound decision making and effective communication.
- Advanced knowledge and ability to work proficiently in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bilingualism (English/French) is required.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and use of own vehicle.
